Multimedia Services

Multimedia services includes the capture, encoding, and delivery of audio and video content.  These services include:

Kaltura

Kaltura MediaSpace is an academic media service that functions much like YouTube and is available for College faculty. For more information, please visit http://it.cofc.edu/vvw/multimedia/kaltura/index.php.

Streaming Media Server

The streaming media server gives faculty and staff a place to publish multimedia work projects for display on the web. These might include educational audio or video for use in class, audio and video podcasts, or other streaming media designed to enhance students’ learning. If you wish to publish audio or video podcasts or other streaming media, please contact Helpdesk and open a support ticket.

Video Services

If you are looking for assistance with video or audio production, contact the Office of University Marketing. The Video Services Team's experienced videographers and audio specialists present high-quality video and audio productions to a nationwide audience showcasing the excellence of our faculty, our students, our campus and our college community. Videos are both long and short format and focus on all aspects of the college experience from the student Quidditch team to ground-breaking marine research. They also serve as campus experts on video, post-production, illustration and animation in video.

Please note the following information:

  • Video-conferencing equipped rooms are limited on campus. Availability of the room is dependent upon the respective department's use.

  • There is no ability to record a video-conferencing or web-conferencing call
  • IT cannot provide support on the weekends
