Each year Information Technology replaces the oldest, most ‘electronically risky’ computers at the College. The overarching goal of computer replacement is to maintain reasonable currency of the deployed computers, and to secure the College network and the information resources connected to it.
File Storage and Backup
Highly secure network file storage is available to all college employees on high capacity network servers. Network file storage provides benefits such as nightly tape backup for disaster recovery, protection from limited power outages, information security, and network-wide access from any workstation and account within the College's domain.
Classroom Replacement Equipment
The Information Technology Classroom Service and Support Center has created a program to replace classroom equipment that has failed during normal operation. This program is called the Hot Spare Program.
